I have been looking at the earthship model After considering the hoops one needs to go thru just passing codes .. I decided that cement block walls done with surface bonding cement is my viable alternative. After researching discovered it is not expensive. Looking at around 3000 for 100 linear feet of wall including the block, steel, cement and grout Will use Sip panels for the roof insulation and metal roofing.
AS to the problem with heat loss from the green house.. I plan to use sliding glass doors in between the green and living space. 'found Lowes has them for 300 each so it is a great access and not have code issues.
As to the cans and bottles.. I have a different solution there also. The house is going to be 2100 Sq Ft with two bedrooms.. I dont really care much for the bottle thing.. so plan to use wood for the wall partitions inside/ But to make it fun.. I love the look of cordword / stack wood walls..
